What counts as a temporary job
A temporary job is any role with a fixed end date, or an open-ended booking you're free to leave with notice. That covers a single day of cover, a rolling weekly shift pattern, a six-month fixed contract, a Christmas or summer seasonal peak, and temp-to-perm roles where the booking simply continues once both sides agree it's working. Whatever the label, you're paid weekly and covered by the same right-to-work and PAYE process from day one.
